Supreme Court Makes Appointments to CLE Commission

The Tennessee Supreme Court has made the following appointments to the Tennessee Commission on Continuing Legal Education:

  • Andrew McRee is appointed to complete the term vacated by Commissioner Mitchell Panter earlier this year. Mr. McRee is the assistant dean for student and career services at Duncan School of Law at Lincoln Memorial University.
  • The Honorable Tiffany Gipson and James Washburn are appointed to three-year terms beginning January 1, 2024. Judge Gipson is a general sessions and juvenile court judge in Jackson County. Mr. Washburn is an assistant district attorney for the 27th Judicial District.

The Court also appointed Commissioner Julie Bennett to serve as the Commission’s chairperson. Ms. Bennett is chief legal officer and corporate secretary at Ballad Health. Her one-year term begins January 1, 2024.

The Court thanked commissioners Kirk Moore and Judge Katerina Moore, whose terms expire at the end of 2023.
