All Tennessee-licensed attorneys who remain noncompliant for their 2023 CLE obligation are included on a draft suspension order mailed June 28 via certified mail to all attorneys listed on the order.
Any attorney listed on the order must, by August 10, 2024, complete compliance to avoid suspension of their Tennessee law license. Steps may include:
- Paying any fees due, and
- Completing at least 15 CLE hours, including 3 ethics hours, or
- Filing a valid exemption from the 2023 requirement to earn CLE hours, such as an out-of-state exemption.
Attorneys who earn hours from accredited courses that have not been reported by the provider should complete an affidavit of compliance and return it to the Commission by August 10.
