The names of all attorneys who remain noncompliant after August 10, 2024 will be placed on a Suspension Order delivered to the Tennessee Supreme Court on August 15. The Court is expected to file the Suspension Order on or shortly after August 15.
To avoid being listed on the Suspension Order, attorneys who remain noncompliant for their 2023 Tennessee CLE obligations must:
- Pay all fees due, including any attendance reporting fees for courses, AND
- Earn and report all CLE hours for 2023, or
- Deliver to the Commission a valid notarized Affidavit of Compliance listing the courses completed (including Tennessee course IDs) on or before August 10, or
- Claim a valid exemption via an attorney Annual Report Statement.
Attorneys who are on the Court’s filed Suspension Order will incur a $500 fee in addition to having their law licenses suspended.
