The eleven-member Tennessee Commission on Continuing Legal Education filed a petition with the Tennessee Supreme Court April 3, asking the Court to revise Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 21 and to approve the Commission’s overhaul of the regulations that guide the Commission in administration of the Rule.
As noted in the petition, the Commission’s goal in requesting a Rule change is to “support an overhaul of the Commission’s regulations,” which were last revised in 2008. In addition, the proposal incorporates updates to properly align the Rule and regulations and to improve processes for attorneys, especially those with inactive licenses or who are licensed in multiple states.
Other minor updates clarify or update language in the Rule.
